Impact-Now began operations in September 2013 running sessions from one location. Now in its 7th year of operations, Impact-Now operates out of three locations within the Growing Together NN3 catchment area.
Impact –Now provides training in personal development and skill acquisition for youth and adults within the community and aim to impact youths and young adults by teaching them how to create revenues for themselves, helping to raise self-worth, helping them to develop marketable skills which might lead to life-long careers and /or interest or hobbies as well as improve confidence in academic work.
Impact Now offers sessions in making natural handmade cosmetics, jewellery making, music keyboard training as well as cake and dessert making. In addition, Impact-Now also offers tutoring in mathematics, English and sciences with a target group of ages 7-18yrs.
More advance and specialized courses are also provided for age 19yrs+ which would enable a career change in adults seeking a new direction or empower a more healthy approach to lifestyles. These sessions include Adult jewellery making, baking, and handmade soap making as well as cooking sessions. There is also provision for supporting the independence of older or disabled people.
Impact-Now provides one-to-one direct and group work through independent Social work interventions, counselling and general support to youths affected by a range of social, emotional, transitional and challenging issues like domestic violence, mental health, self-confidence, substance misuse, self–esteem, anger management, depression, anxiety, self-harm, family breakdown, difficult and challenging behaviour that have impacted on their education and development. Some of these youth have experienced insecure and unsafe home environment, mental ill-health, witness domestic violence or have themselves been victims and teenage pregnancy.
In additional, Impact-Now alongside the above, source and provide apprenticeship and work experience to youth at risk of NEET (Not in education, employment or training) ages 16-24 years and youth with learning disabilities up to 35 years. The aim is to help improve the quality of lives and empower them lead a productive life, raise aspirations, develop skills and enhance employability thereby enable them overcome personal barriers and challenges preventing them from engaging positively with work or learning.
However, due to the COVID-19 crisis, most of IMPACT-NOW`s services are done online via Zoom.

Impact Now's charitable objectives:
1. to act as a resource for young people up to the age of 25years living in Northamptonshire by providing advice and assistance and organizing programs of physical, educational, and other activities as a means of:
(a) advancing in life and helping young people by developing their skills, capacities, and capabilities to enable them to participate in society as independent, mature and responsible individuals;
(b) advancing education;
(c) relieving unemployment;
(d) providing recreational and leisure time activity in the interests of social welfare for people living in the area of benefit who have need by reason of their youth, age, infirmity or disability, poverty or social and economic circumstances with a view to improving the conditions of life of such persons.
2. the relief of mental, social and low emotional wellbeing of young people at risk of NEET by the provision of 121 direct intervention work, counseling and support
3. for the public benefit to promote learning for pleasure by people no longer in full-time employment through the continued development of their individual capabilities, competencies, skills and understanding in subjects of educational value.
