Our Aim:


To support and empower young people who are NEET or at the risk of becoming NEET overcome personal barriers and challenges preventing them from engaging positively with work or learning.


Through

  • 1:1 direct work around identified issues making them at the risk of being NEET.

  • Groupwork
  • Training workshop in personal development, identifying skills and gaining motivation.
  • Exam revision skills
  • Tutoring support.
  • Opportunities to work-related training certificates eg Health and Safety, First Aid.
  • In-house and external work experiences.

Project Description


Impact-Now will carry out programmes of activities for target group which include training workshops in personal development, identifying skills and gaining motivation.


Impact-Now will also provide 1:1 direct work around the identified issue making them at the risk of being NEET. Issues arising from domestic violence, low self-confidence, low self-esteem, anger management, depression, anxiety, self-harm, challenging behaviour. 


Beneficiaries who choose a route leading to employment will attend a Six-month work experience.  There will also be opportunities to gain work-related training certificates, e.g., Health and Safety, First Aid.

Tutoring support in Mathematics, English Language and Sciences will be provided for those in key stage 3, 4 and 5 as well as ongoing Support for a return to full-time education, training or employment.

 

The in-house and external work experiences will be in the following field: Health and beauty, Health and Social Care, making cosmetics, making natural products, designing and making jewellery, cake & dessert making, business administration, creative design, brand design, packaging, catering, and project management.

Beneficiaries over time, will also have the opportunity to lead projects and be able to teach and mentor others.

Project outputs:

 

  • A 30-week programme of activities for the target group which includes training workshops in personal development, identifying skills and gaining motivation.
  • Deliver 16 x 1 hour 1:1 direct work around the identified issue making them at the risk of being NEET. Issues arising from domestic violence, low self-confidence, low self-esteem, anger management, depression, anxiety, self-harm, challenging behaviour. 
  • Six months’ work experience will be in the following field: in Art, Health and beauty, Health and Social care, making cosmetics, making natural products, designing and making jewellery, cake & dessert making, business administration, creative design, brand design, packaging, catering, and project management.
  • Work-related training certificates, e.g. Health and Safety, First Aid
  • Tutoring support in Mathematics, English Language and Sciences for those in key stage 3, 4 and 5.
  • Ongoing support in return to full-time education, training or employment.

Project outcomes:

 

  • Empower to lead a productive life free from harm.
  • Improve their lives chances and achievements so that they feel more resilient and connected.
  • Enable them to manage their lives better.
  • Reduce their dependency on intensive public services.
  • Provide support for overcoming challenging issues
  • Provide support for gainful employment and sustainable living.
  • Empower and enable independence.
  • Empower them to return to full-time
